I’m in Clarke’s ‘best science fiction of the year’ (fuck yeah)

Neil Clarke recently announced the table of contents for his ‘Best Science Fiction of the Year’. It’s an impressive line up. What the fuck I’m doing in it, I’m not sure, but hey, I’ll take it. Short fiction-wise this is probably my biggest achievement, certainly up there with my first sales to Interzone and Asimov’s.

The story is ‘A Strange Loop’, published in the Jan/ Feb issue of Interzone. I’d never sent it out for consideration to any of the anthologies, and while it had some good reviews, had never thought twice about it getting any type of broader acclaim.

Anyway, blah blah blah, stop talking about myself. It did. It’s in. I’m fucking chuffed.
