Neon Leviathan is a multi-award winning, extremely-well reviewed collection of short stories. Not being one for orgiastic self-promotion, I find myself uncomfortable writing this sentence. However, as no other bastard is going to do this for me, I got to be the self-credentialing bastard.
I have signed copies available, as you may have guessed from the title. But first let me big myself up (if you want to skip CV of awards and praise for Neon Leviathan and get to the bit about signed copies, the bottom paragraph has what you need).
I am extremely happy to be able to say that the collection (as of April 2021) garnered two more Aurealis Awards nominations (the Aurealis are Australia’s premier awards for speculative fiction). These were for the two new stories in the collection, ‘Jack’s Fine Dining’, and ‘The Weight of the Air, the Weight of the World,’ which were shortlisted for best science fiction short story and best SF novella, respectively.
Another story (Flame Trees) in the collection won trophy for best short story in the Aurealis Awards in 2017, a second (A Strange Loop) appeared in Neil Clark’s Best Science Fiction of the Year Volume 2 (2017), and a third (13 Minutes to Vinh Quang) won the Writers of the Future Award (2016)
Anyway, the point of all this is to say is not shit, it’s not shit at all. Or as Richard Morgan (Altered Carbon) effused:
“Haunting and iridescent – combines the paranoid weirdness of the best Philip K Dick, the chilly but cool-as-fuck future gleam of cyberpunk, and an achingly beautiful literary inflection reminiscent of mainstream heavyweights like Murakami or Ishiguro. T. R. Napper’s futures feel at once gritty and vertiginous and close-focus human in the way only the best SF can manage.
Okay, so: if you want a signed copy, email me here: voight0kampff (AT) gmail.com. 20 Bucks (AUD) for a paperback and 30 AUD for a hard. Which is a pretty good price (cheaper than Amazon, depending on the country). Obviously, there is postage, which is about 10 bucks in Australia, and more elsewhere. Drop me a message and we’ll sort out the details.
Cheers
